A skill update may not be for a while. They probably want to see how the new system for balancing goes first. We will most likely either see the new system scrapped and back to the basic pace, or we will be hit with a massive bomb of a skill update as they attempt to test it "for real".
Or they will just be extra careful and change only a few skills that don't really matter like they have been doing the past 8 months.
...I miss the good ol days when balance updates added new tricks that were actually exciting.

It's going to be a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing irritating tonic if they don't resize the golem. I RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing hate the second last EoTN mission because of the golems blocking my screen.

Where is it said Anet should add 'real' (as you call them) updates, every week?
These tonics are an update by definition, as they add something new to the game.

Something new? New =/= same thing from last thing with changed skin. Same as EotN armors are not new, these tonics/juices are not new.

This QQing about a lack of reward points is pathetic. It's like a welfare check, except that everyone is eligible and your life doesn't depend on it. Grow up a little, it's quite pathetic. "WANT MY RPS!!!!!!!!" Calm down, they'll come to you. Does it actually matter when you get them?
If you're going to QQ about anything, QQ about the lack of a skill update. I was really looking forward to the update because I thought some skills would get buffed and others nerfed. I enjoy skill updates, no matter what gets nerfed, it still changes the way I play normally, and for that, I'm grateful. They told us there'd be a skill update on thursday, which there was not. They did not promise RPs on thursday, so shut up.

QFT, I was actually about to click /uninstall (I'm actually serious this time ), but then I figured a skill update was about to come. (Was lik Tuesday or something)
Anyways, I find it, once again, really sad on Anet's part if there won't be a skill update. No, I won't wait till next week, I've been waiting for 1.5 years now and still haven't seen a single decent skill update... (Actually that would be a lie, in Februari, I also was on the edge on uninstalling, but turned out that skill update wasn't too bad. I mean, it was still bad, but atleast it shifted HA meta a bit)
I just love how for 99% of the community, the only reason why they stay is for the titles. (HoM)
I honestly doubt anyone can still find any fun in PvE OR PvP for that matter cuz face it, they BARELY have replay value. (Yuuh, we get to beat the destroyer AGAIN, but this time in HM, omg we're having some much fun!)
But let's not turn it into a "GW is so bad -QQ fest", let's just stick with the "hoping for a skill update" part...

A skill update was planned for this week, but several key staff members were out due to illness at the beginning of the week, so the skill changes were not able to be pushed live in time.

I know they don't, but that's my intire point...
Perfect analogy:
You wanna go to work by bike today, but it takes U an additional 20 minutes to get there, than if U were to go by car.
If U arrive 20 minutes late at work, the fact that U came by bike is NOT an excuse for being late, simply because YOU decided to take the "hard"/"long" run in the first place.
-Making it easy for some hard-understanding people:
*Change the "theoretical "you"-person" to "Anet"
*Change "20 minutes late" to "A week to late" (Or whatever time they had to do the balancing)
*Change "the fact you came by bike" to "the fact Anet refuses to take the advice from their community to heart"
*Change "going to work" to "skill balancing"
*Change "going by car" to "reading on forums what needs to be changed, so U already have 90% of the picture, thus speeding up ALOT of work, simply because people like JR and divine already worked out the balances"
You should grasp the idea now
There is no excuse Anet COULD have for not having finished the balancing. Even if there was a reasonable one (Terrorist blew up Anet buildings), it would MOST DEFINATLY NOT BE: "We didn't have enough time"...

So is the skill balance going to be next thursday? Or is it going to come before then?(Come on, it could happen.)
Either way, any way we could have found out what was being looked at?(/pray not SF)
